Clinical & Operational Policies
Transparency, patient privacy, and clear service standards for parents and families.
Privacy & Data Protection Policy
At Jilani Pediatrics, we recognize the sensitivity of pediatric medical data and personal guardian information. This Privacy Policy details our practices concerning data collection, encryption, and record storage across our website, web portal, and mobile applications.
1.1 Information We Collect
- Patient Identification & Demographics: Child's full legal name, date of birth, gender, and B-Form/identity information.
- Guardian & Contact Information: Parent/guardian name, CNIC number, contact cell phone number, email address, and residential sector/address.
- Clinical Records: Medical history, consultation notes, diagnosis, vitals measurements (weight, height, temperature), and electronic prescriptions.
1.2 Use of Information
All collected data is strictly utilized to:
- Generate and manage your child's unique sequential Medical Record Number (MRN).
- Facilitate appointment booking, consultation queues, and clinic intake workflows.
- Transmit automated transactional alerts and appointment confirmations via SMS and Email.
- Maintain accurate clinical encounter logs accessible by your attending pediatrician.
1.3 Data Confidentiality & Security
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or medical records to third parties or advertising brokers. Access to clinical records is restricted solely to authorized medical staff and the authenticated parent/guardian account via hashed password encryption.
Terms & Conditions
By registering a patient account, scheduling an appointment, or using our digital portal, you agree to comply with the following operational terms:
2.1 Medical Scope & Non-Emergency Clause
Our online portal and telemedicine channels are designed for routine consultations, follow-up visits, developmental reviews, and non-emergency pediatric queries. In the event of an acute medical emergency, severe respiratory distress, or trauma, you must immediately visit the nearest hospital emergency department.
2.2 Account Security & Parental Responsibility
Guardians are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their portal credentials. All appointments booked and records viewed under an authenticated parent account are deemed to be authorized by the child's legal guardian.
2.3 Prescription & Treatment Compliance
Digital prescriptions issued via Jilani Pediatrics are based upon clinical observations and guardian-provided medical histories. Medications should only be administered according to the specific dosage instructions provided by the pediatrician.
Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy
As a medical service provider, our refund guidelines are governed by professional consultation time allocation:
3.1 Appointment Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Advance Cancellation: Parents may cancel or reschedule an appointment up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled consultation slot without any penalty.
- No-Show Policy: If a patient fails to check in or join the scheduled consultation without prior notice, the reserved time slot is forfeited.
3.2 Refund Guidelines for Consultation Fees
- Clinic-Initiated Rescheduling/Cancellation: If a booked consultation cannot take place due to an unexpected clinical emergency or pediatrician unavailability, the guardian is entitled to a full fee refund or immediate slot transfer.
- Completed Consultations: Once a consultation (in-clinic or online video) has been conducted and a clinical prescription/note is signed, consultation fees are non-refundable as the professional clinical service has been rendered.
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds for online advance payments are processed via the original payment channel (Bank Transfer / JazzCash / Card) within 3 to 5 business days.
Service & Telehealth Delivery Policy
Jilani Pediatrics provides professional healthcare services through both in-person clinic visits and digital telemedicine infrastructure:
4.1 Digital / Telehealth Consultations
- Slot Confirmation: Upon successful booking, an automated confirmation containing appointment details is dispatched to the registered contact address.
- Prescription Delivery: Digital prescriptions and clinical care instructions are immediately generated and made accessible in your Patient Healthcare Hub under "Prescription & Visit History" upon consultation completion.
4.2 Physical Goods & Medications
Jilani Pediatrics operates as a clinical consultation service and does not directly ship or dispense retail physical pharmaceuticals via postal mail. All prescribed medicines must be dispensed at licensed community pharmacies.
